HATCH cooperated with CATL to create a truly zero-carbon teahouse in the historic Xiandang Township of Ningde with the design concept of ‘Möbius Ring’. Unlike passive energy-saving technologies, the project actively empowers the building by introducing advanced new energy and smart grid technologies. It is estimated that the annual power generation of the teahouse is about 55,000 kWh, which is equivalent to planting 3,000 trees. It is not only a quiet resting place, but also a perfect fusion of modern technology and natural aesthetics.
