HATCH Architects has been selected for the 2025 ELLE DECORATION China The A-List with the project Ningde Times · Xiadao Zero-Carbon Teahouse. The project is also featured in the China Interior Architecture Design Yearbook, marking HATCH’s third consecutive year of recognition by ELLE DECORATION. Designed by David Wei, Co-founder and Principal Architect of HATCH Architects, the Xiadao Zero-Carbon Teahouse is an exploratory project developed under Ningde Times’ “Dual-Carbon” strategy. Inspired by the Möbius strip, the building employs a continuous spiral form to create a zero-carbon architecture that integrates technology, nature, and public experience. On December 16, 2025, David Wei attended the ELLE DECORATION China The A-List Annual Design Awards Ceremony. Being listed for three consecutive years reflects continued recognition of HATCH’s design practice. Looking ahead, HATCH Architects will continue to explore how design can shape spaces and lifestyles with responsibility and human warmth.
